The Wisconsin blood line is complete and dates back to 1527 with Conz Knoernschild. Many have asked me how the Wisconsin Knoernschild's related to the Missouri Knoernschilds. The answer is that the Missouri Knoernschilds come from a different blood line. The WI blood line comes from the fifth son of Conz knoernschild, Hans Cunhans, who was born in 1573. The MO blood line comes from the first born son to Conz Knoernschild, Conz (jr., though they ddidn't use jr. as a designation). Conz (jr.) was born in 1559. So, the WI and MO blood lines relate as 10-11 generation cousins. Do to request, I have started working on the Missouri blood line but in a years time I have only gotton one generation complete. The MO blood line appears to be much more complex with many more sons that seemed to keep the blood line alive. An interesting fact for the WI/Hans Cunhans blood line is that there was only 1 son per generation that kept the blood line alive. That being said, the only realtives left from the Hans Cunhans blood line are Joan Hargarten, Angela Mangan, Carl William (Bill) Knoernschild, and Bill's two sons: Joseph and John. If history would continue to repeat itself, only one person will pass that name on (Joseph or John).

Rolf Knoernschild loved the Knoernschild history and did a lot of work, while he was alive, to research and collect information on the Knoernschild family. At some point, all of his files were transferred to Bill Hartgarten and prior to Bill passing, Bill transferred all the files to me. As I get time, it is my full intention to scan all these files in and share them with the family.
